Cinema, aspirinas e urubus
Zinema, aspirinak eta saiak

A German named Johann arrives with his truck to a small city lost in the hinterlands of North-East Brazil in the 40s. Ranulpho, a young shop assistant fascinated by the vehicle, comes out to meet him. The German wants to conquer the interior with the sale of the product he is carrying - thousands of bottles of a new medicine called Aspirin - and hires Ranulpho’s services as a guide. He also uses the help of the century’s greatest invention, a movie projector showing the therapeutical effects of the medicine. Johann has arrived here escaping from the nightmare of war, leaving his entire family behind. For his part, Ranulpho sees in this new job the chance to escape from poverty and move to the rich southern part of the country.
