In 1960, Laura Quinn, a dedicated executive at the London Diamond Corporation, the biggest gem outfit in the world, is furious with frustration at the fact that her career is obstructed by the male chauvinism dominating working life within the company. She forms an alliance with Mr. Hobbs, a bitter soon-to-retire maintenance man who feels betrayed after a lifetime’s work for the firm. Together they plan the perfect heist, an audacious robbery in the company that has treated them so badly.
