Vete de Mí

Vete de mí is the tale of Edipo's father. A normal guy, supporting actor in the La Latina theatre, 55 years old with a 38-year-old girlfriend, a small flat in Madrid and reasonably happy.... until the arrival of his 30-year-old son, a middle-class Peter Pan trying to make a place for himself in his father's life.

Víctor García León
Madrid, 1976. He had a part as an actor in Cómo ser mujer y no morir en el intento (How to Be a Woman and Not Die Trying, 1991), directed by Ana Belén, worked as script in Siempre hay un camino a la derecha (1997), by José Luis García Sánchez, and was assistant director on several short films. In 1996 he wrote and directed the short film El gilipollas, and in 2001 directed his first feature film, Más pena que Gloria, for which he also co-wrote the screenplay. He was nominated for the Goya for Best New Director and later directed a fragment of the collective film, Hay motivo (2003).
