Sandra is in prison and wants desperately to connect with her child; Diana confronts the sudden flash of a past relationship; Holly can?t seem to move forward until her stepfather acknowledges the pain he has caused her; Sonia reels from her boyfriend?s disclosure of an intimate secret to their friends; teenager Samantha is obliged to act as peacemaker between her parents; Lorna attempts to comfort her ex-husband after his wife?s suicide and finds herself implicated in the tragic death; Ruth considers straying from married life during a motel rendezvous; Camille faces the limitations of her previously dependable body and Maggie allows her own life to be eclipsed by that of her young daughter Maria. At the end of the day, nine everyday women who meet the travails and disappointments of life with a heartening and heartbreaking resilience.

Rodrigo García
Bogota, 1959. Writer and director of Things You Can Tell Just By Looking at Her (2000), premiered at Sundance and winner of the Un Certain Regard division at Cannes, and of Ten Tiny Love Stories (2001). He was also one of the three writer/directors of Fathers and Sons (2005), has directed the pilots for Carnivale and the upcoming series Big Love, plus episodes of The Sopranos and Six Feet Under.
