Sud Express

Sud Express is about crossing lives. Six stories about anonymous people who meet on a train travelling from Paris to Lisbon. Through the stars of this voyage across South-West Europe we explore their similarities and as yet blatant differences at this critical moment in time for the Old Continent. This is a vital movie because trains have always been just that: emotions in motion.

Chema de la Peña, Gabriel Velázquez
In 1993, Chema de la Peña (Salamanca, 1964) founded his own production company, Artimaña Producciones, going on to shoot his first short films. In 1999, he directed his first feature film, Shacky Carmine, and in 2002 the Goya-nominated documentary De Salamanca a ninguna parte. Gabriel Velázquez (Salamanca, 1968) made his first short film in 1996, En Madison siempre es lunes, Premio Luis Buñuel de Cinematografía in 1997, followed by Parabellum (1997) and London Calling (2000). He became a partner of Artimaña Producciones in 2001.
